Are you aged 13–19 and living in Kenton, Fawdon, Gosforth or the surrounding areas of Newcastle North? Want to explore your thoughts and experiences around mental health and wellbeing while learning exciting new media skills?
Empowering Young Voices is a free, 6-week creative photography project where you’ll learn how to express yourself through media and journalism, build confidence, and gain a nationally recognised Level 1 qualification.
What you’ll get involved in:
- Learn photography
- Share your voice on topics that matter to you such as mental health, resilience and identity
- Build confidence and learn how to manage stress and wellbeing
- Gain a Level 1 OCN Qualification in media or journalism
- Take part in a final exhibition to showcase your work and celebrate your achievements
