Young Journalist Programme

Our Young Journalist Programme is an open access youth session that allows young people to come along and take part in media and journalism. As with all of Headliners work this is a free youth session and Headliners can support with accessibility such as support with travel fairs for young people to attend.

Young people will be given the opportunity to take part in film making, podcasting, written journalism and photography. The sessions are supported by qualified youth workers and journalists and are focussed on sharing youth voices. Young people take the lead in deciding what they would like to do during the sessions and our staff team make it happen for them.

Young people can attend on:

Tuesdays 5.30pm – 7.30 pm for 11-15 year olds

Thursdays 5.30 – 7.30 pm for 16-19 year olds. (In some cases we allow young people up to the age of 25 to our Thursday sessions if the young person has SEND or an EHCP)

The sessions take place at; Globe Cottage, Stepney Bank Stables, Stepney Bank, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 2NP
